1. Patriotic
"Bow ye lower middle classes, bow ye tradesmen, bow ye masses, tan-tan-tara tzing boom!"

2. Crooning
"Thou her station is none of the best, I suppose she was born like the rest..."

3. Sneering
"A shepherd he of Arcadee, betrothed are they and mean to be espoused today..."

4. Pontificating
"If you ask us distinctly to say, we reply without doubt or delay, the party we claim to belong to is the party we're singing this song to..."

5. Exasperated
"...That's very true, let's pipe our eye because our Strephon did not die."

6. Besotted
"As none are so noble--none so rich as this couple of lords, I'll find a niche, in my heart that's aching, quaking, breaking, for one of you two--and I don't care which!"

7. Group Sneer
"Our lordly style you shall not quench with base canaille..."

8. Soliloquizing
"When Britain really ruled the waves, in good Queen Bess's time, the House of Peers made no pretence to intellectual eminence or scholarship sublime..."

9. Jingoistic
"When Wellington thrashed Bonaparte, as every child can tell, the House of Peers throughout the war did nothing in particular (and did it very well)..."

10. Maudlin
"....as bright will shine Great Britain's rays, as in King George's glorious days!"

11. Eulogizing
"...And I may say I think the same, not even love should rank above true friendship's name."

12. Seasick
"If one of you would forego his title, and distribute his estates among his Irish tenantry, why, then, I should then see a reason for accepting the other."

13. Puzzled
"...This is what it is to have two capacities. Let us be thankful that we are persons of no capacity whatever!"

14. Impish
"...If you go in you're sure to win, yours will be the charming maidie, be your law the ancient saw: faint heart never won fair lady!"

15. Promenading
"While the sun shines make your hay, where a will is there's a way, beard the lion in his lair, none but the brave deserve the fair!"

16. Heartened
"Nothing venture, nothing win, blood is thick but water's thin..."

17. Tableau
"...In for a penny, in for a pound, it's love that makes the world go 'round!"

18. Happy Ending
"Up in the air, sky-high, sky-high, free from wards in chancery, he will be surely happier for he's such a susceptible chancellor!"
